How Sacred Owl Leather came to be.

Sacred Owl came to be after a family tragedy changed the trajectory of my life. After a career of truck driving came to an end, I had the desire to become independent, and I knew that in order for that to happen something needed to change. Where to go and what to do what the question that was alluding me. One night I found myself watching hours of leather craft videos on YouTube and in the days following I felt something stirring inside of me and a desire to do something I hadn’t done in nearly 20 years came flooding back and at that moment, I knew what I had to do. Work with my hands to learn, craft and make the best leather products that I can. For the first time in my life, I found a passion about something.

I chose the name Sacred Owl Leather for a couple of reasons. The first being the simplest. I love Owls and wanted to incorporate that into the name. The second reason; Owls have a meaning of Transformation, while Sacred has a meaning of Respect. That made the most sense for me to honor this journey that I have set out for myself. Respect the Transformation of my life and the destination I have chosen with Leather work.
